Northallerton successes at NCPF Annual Competitions

This year’s NCPF Annual Competitions, due to the Coronavirus crisis, have again been greatly truncated,
with only PDI Sections being held.  In the event members from 32 Clubs entered the competitions,
with 1192 entries in the Open section and 95 in the Jane Black Trophy for Beginners.
There were 29 club entries for the Myles Audas Memorial Trophy.

Thomas Bates Trophy (Best landscape):- "Dawn Light on the Dunes" by Sheila Coates LRPS EFIAP/b PPSA DPAGB

The Myles Audas Memorial Trophy was won by Gosforth CC, so our congratulations go to them. Keswick PS & Saltburn PS shared 2nd place. (This is a change following an amendment by NCPF) Whilst Northallerton were joint 14th alongside Carlisle CC, we were for different reasons, shy of some of our best workers. However a number of our members did enjoy individual success in the Open Section.

Highly Commended:- "Final Bend" by Miles Langthorne DPAGB APAGB, "Malificent Clone" by Eric Hall & "White Tailed Eagle" by Patricia Kearton LRPS DPAGB

The Thomas Bates Trophy, for the Best Landscape, was awarded to Sheila Coates for her “Dawn Light on the Dunes”.  There was also a total of five Highly Commended Certificates awarded to Miles Langthorne, Eric Hall, Patricia Kearton and John Webster (with two).

The PAGB Inter-Federation PDI Competition (known as the Alliance Competition) will be held this year and five members had six entries selected, Sheila Coates, Patricia Kearton, Miles Langthorne, Pauline Pentony and John Webster (2)

Highly Commended:- "Ice Beach" and "Bea-eater Locked Beaks", both by John Webster ARPA MPAGB

Our congratulations to not only to those whose work has been recognised by the Judges and Selectors, but also to all those who entered the event. It is always great to see the club represented and its members efforts being rewarded.
