For the first time for a few years we entered the NYSD Annual Competitions, and what a result we achieved. The Club entered into both the Prints as well as the PDI and when the results we announced and shown on Friday 26th November at Guisborough we were placed first in both Sections, with a score of 164 points in each section which meant of course that Northallerton also won the “Overall Competition”.

For our Vice Chairman, Miles Langthorne DPAGB APAGB, it was a very special evening because in both
sections he was awarded maximum points for the best entry, with “Osprey Catch” in the Prints Section
and for “Grouse in Heather” in the PDI Section.
Not only that but our Vice-Chairman, Miles Langthorne DPAGB, APAGB also won the trophy for the “Best PDI” in the Individual PDI Competition with “Dust Rider”.
In addition to that Bob Crick was awarded Highly Commended in the “Individual PDI Competition” with his shot “Sandhill Crane Take Off” and in the “Silver Salver Competition” for individual print entries Paul Newey was Highly Commended for his print entitled “Evil Eyed Jackdaw”
Well done Northallerton, this was a fantastic result and thanks to all those who submitted entries, whether or not they were included in the Club Entries or the individual competitions, without you this result would not have been possible.
After an absence of a year due to Covid the Club is again aunching its Calendar, this time for 2022.
The Calendar showcases the very best of our members’ photographs that they used in our 2020/21 Season.
